While the drivers of sales for two decades had been the Maruti 800 and the Omni, in the last 7 years, the Alto has become their most popular car in India. In recent years, the success of the WagonR and the Swift has also contributed to achieve these results.
Shinzo Nakanishi, CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, thanked their customers for the company’s newest results: “In the past two decades, the success story of Maruti Suzuki has intertwined with that of India. India is continuously growing and changing, and we at Maruti Suzuki have been able to meet these changing demands. We strive to stay among the leaders of the Indian vehicle market. We would like to express our gratitude to our colleagues, traders and suppliers for their commitment and support”.
SX4 Special Series
On the occasion of celebrating the ten-millionth car produced, Maruti Suzuki presented the “Jubilee Series” of the SX4 sedan. The “exclusive white” SX4 received special decals and custom paintjob. The interior of the car is decorated with new textiles, chrome handles and vents, VTN foil, a special armrest and “Jubilee Series” carpets and cushions.
