BKV to buy 400 new Hungarian-built buses in 5 years

They added: as the process has not been finished yet, and the government has not yet discussed the new submission, the Ministry cannot provide further information on the matter.
MTI has turned to the Ministry after Index, a popular Hungarian news site, published a ministerial account claiming that BKV should procure 838 new buses in 5 years, and should immediately retire 500 vehicles from its fleet of 1,300.
The report says: the upgrade requires a 5-year schedule, which means that on average, 160 new buses should be bought every year, 50% of which could be Hungarian-built. Regarding that, the Ministry specified Kravtex, NABI, Rába and Inter Tan as possible sources.
