Waberer’s founder György Wáberer retires and sells shares to private equity firm
Private equity firm Mid Europa Partners has signed an agreement to increase their current 56.8 percent share in Waberer’s International to 97.1 percent after purchasing the shares of retiring founder-CEO György Wáberer.
The transaction is expected to close following an approval by the competition office.
After being major player in the haulage industry for 35 years, György Wáberer has announced to retire from his active role in the company he founded and have successfully led.
In line with his retirement, he decided to also sell his share to Mid Europa Partners, a private equity shareholder in Waberer’s since 2011.
