Szekszárd-based parts manufacturer expands
Szekszárd-based automotive parts manufacturer BHG Alkatrészgyártó Kft. has expanded its production hall and carried out technology development with an investment of over HUF 500 million, the company told Hungarian news agency MTI.
BHG Alkatrészgyártó, member of Germany-based Prettl Group, has expanded its Szekszárd plant by 1,000 square metres with an investment valued at HUF 554 million (EUR 1.8 million) after receiving a HUF 131.5 million aid from New Széchenyi Plan funds.
CEO Gábor Jobbágy told Hungarian news agency MTI that in addition to increasing the production area, the manufacturer has also added a new, high-performance transfer pressing machine to its production line.
Thanks to the project, the company's headcount has increased by 30, to 380 people.
BHG-ASZ is a manufacturer of parts for automotive applications, such as exhaust components, seat frames and noise cancellers for parking heaters. The development project allows the development of more lucrative activities and the expansion of the existing product portfolio, the CEO added.
Besides automotive components, the company also manufactures airport service units, repair units for oil drills and repairs household appliances.
In 2013, BHG-ASZ had a registered turnover of HUF 8 billion (EUR 26 million), the company added.
