Schäfer-Oesterle to expand and hire 150 employees in Bonyhád
Schäfer-Oesterle, supplier of automotive interior products, has announced to build a new production hall at Bonyhád Business Park.
An agreement about a HUF 500 billion investment to build a new production facility was signed by the German firm, the municipality of Bonyhád and representatives from the business park on Thursday.
According to the agreement, Schäfer-Oesterle will build a 4,000-square-metre hall and agreed to increase the plant's current headcount by 150. The town provides the land and infrastructure, while the project will be conducted by Völgységi Ipari Park (VIP) Nonprofit Kft.
The agreement was signed by managing directors Christian Kohorst and Volker Hermann, Mrs. Ibolya Filó, Mayor of Bonyhád, and Rajmund Futár, CEO of VIP Kft.
Kohorst said the Würzburg-based company, manufacturer of interior parts for premium manufacturers, will significantly increase production at the Bonyhád plant.
After netting EUR 2 million in 2014, Schäfer-Oesterle is expecting EUR 8 million and EUR 16 million in revenues for 2015 and 2016, respectively. The Bonhyád plant's current headcount of 150 will be doubled by 2016, he added.
