Salgglas develops new technology with HUF 1 bln investment
Salgótarján-based automotive glass manufacturer Salgglas Zrt. has developed a new technology to increase its production capacity with the manufacture of deep-curved and freeformed automotive glass products, the company reported today.
For the HUF 1 billion (EUR 3.2 million) project, Salgglas Zrt. received a HUF 489.5 million (EUR 1.6 million) EU grant within the frame of the Economic Operative Programme (Gazdasági Operatív Program - GOP).
The EU support contributed to the company's development and capacity increase and the production of higher-quality products. Via the procurement of tools and expanding its R&D activity, the company is now able to strengthen its market position and expand its customer base.
Last year, Salgglas registered a revenue of HUF 6 billion (EUR 19 million) and profited HUF 770 million (EUR 2.2 million).
