The government has declared the area chosen for the investment a target zone and has been promoting all activities concerned with the construction of the industrial area and the investment itself.

Napi Gazdaság reported in its Tuesday issue that an environmental impact study has been concluded, while the authorisation procedure and administrative tasks regarding the insurance of the building lot are currently under way.

Communication between the investor and the architect firm is continuous, HIPA added.

The Agency reminded that Apollo Hungary's investment project will create 975 jobs in Gyöngyöshalász, while the first tyres will leave the production line in early-2017. When production reaches full capacity, 16,000 tyres for passenger cars and 3,000 tyres for commercial vehicles will be manufactured at Apollo's Hungarian plant.

The company is a major supplier of Suzuki and Tata, and the investment will significantly contribute to Hungary's export activities, as most of Apollo's products are sold on foreign markets.
