Hungarian tyre sales see major boost in 2015
Sales increased in nearly all tyre segments in Hungary in 2015, European manufacturers closed an excellent year, according to a report published by the Hungarian Tyre Association (HTA).
Non-OE tyre sales amounted to 203 million units in 2015, up by 3 percent from 2014.
Tyres sold as original equipment increased by 6 percent to 89 million units, in line with the dynamic growth of new car registrations in the country.
In Hungary there are seven tyre manufacturers with a wholesale operation, including Apollo-Vredestein, Bridgestone, Continental, Goodyear-Dunlop, Hankook, Michelin and Pirelli, all members of HTA.
