Emerson inaugurates new plant in Székesfehérvár
On Wednesday, Emerson Process Management Hungary inaugurated a new, 25,000-square-metre plant in Székesfehérvár, Hungary, following an over EUR 10 million investment in a previously Philips-owned facility by valve manufacturing division Fisher.
CEO Ferenc Mátrai said at the inauguration ceremony: Emerson has been present in Hungary since 20 years, and the new plant was a "gift" from the company's management.
He added that the parent, celebrating its 125th anniversary this year, had confidence in the company and acknowledged their work with a new manufacturing unit.
The facility, previously owned by Philips, was acquired by Emerson Process Management Hungary in late-2013. With the 25,000-square-metre manufacturing unit and 12-ha area located at Sóstó Industrial Park the company has doubled the existing manufacturing area of Fisher, previously operating at the site of Videoton.
U.S.-based Emerson is a global manufacturer and technology firm with an annual turnover of USD 25.4 billion, employing 135,000 people at 235 locations worldwide.
The company offers a wide range of products and services for industrial and commercial applications, including process management, industrial automation, energy supply of telecommunications and IT networks and the production of air-conditioning and cooling systems.
