The 310bhp 3.0-litre 6-cylinder TFSI EVO unit, marking an impressive milestone in the company's history, will be fitted into an Audi A7 at the premium car maker's Neckarsulm plant in Germany.

Totting up the performance values, the 3 million TFSI units would boast a total of 933 million brake horsepower, while lining up the engines next to one another they would reach from Győr to North Africa.

The most powerful, 333bhp variant of the V6 TFSI engine has been in production at Audi Hungaria since 2008. The last generation made its debut in 2013, with the Győr-based plant churning out 700 units every a day.

650 people work in serial production of the engine on the assembly line and the machining shop.

Audi Hungaria manufactures nearly 2 million four-, six-, eight- and ten-cylinder diesel and petrol engines every year, supplying the group's 30 locations. There is an engine rolling off the production line in every ten seconds.
